Honorary Chairman

Adnan Kassar is the Chairman and CEO of Fransabank Group, the President of the Lebanese Economic Organizations, and the Honorary Chairman of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for the Arab Countries.

 

Born in 1930 in Beirut, Lebanon, Mr. Kassar completed his law studies before venturing into business. He entered the Chamber world and soon became President of the Lebanese Federation of Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. Internationally, he headed the World Chambers Federation of the ICC and became Chair in 1999 and 2000 of International Chamber of Commerce.

 

Mr. Kassar is also the founder and a partner of A.A.KASSAR SAL, a Lebanese based company with activities in different economic sectors in Lebanon and overseas. Adnan Kassar and his brother Adel acquired Fransabank in 1980. Today Fransabank Group has the largest branch network in Lebanon, and a presence in France, Algeria, Sudan, Syria, Belarus, Cyprus, Iraq, UAE, Cuba, and the Ivory Coast.

 

Mr. Kassar was appointed Minister of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Lebanon in 2004, Minister of State in the Unity Government in 2009 and Minister of State until June 2011 for the newly formed government. Mr. Kassar has developed strong productive relations with leading international organizations including the G7/G8, the United Nations, the World Bank and the WTO. He is also a member on the Distinguished Board of International Advisors of the White Nights Foundation of America.

Jemal INAISHVILI

Mr. Jemal Inaishvili is the former President of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI). For some time, Mr. Inaishvili was actively involved in politics. He was elected member of the Georgian Parliament from his native Batumi constituency in 2005 and in the same year elected by the Parliament as Deputy Chairman. Mr. Changle Liu, J.P. is the Founder of Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings Ltd., and has been its Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 2000.

 

Mr. Liu is a visiting professor of the Beijing Broadcasting Institute and an honorary visiting professor at the Communication University of China, at Nankai University, at Fudan University, at Xiamen University, and at Sun Yat-Sen University.

 

Mr. Liu served as Reporter, Editor, News Commentator and Senior Management at China Central People’s Radio Station. He was entitled the Justice of the Peace by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2004. He was the chairman of iEMMYs Festival in 2005 and 2006 by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

 

Mr. Liu has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. since November 2011, and the Independent Non-Executive Director of Hong Kong Airlines International Holdings Limited.

 

Mr. Liu graduated from the Beijing Broadcasting Institute (now the Communication University of China) in the early 1980s. At the Singapore Asia-Pacific Overseas Chinese Commercial Leaders Forum, he was among the 30 short-listed leaders and was also honored with the “2004 Most Creative Asia-Pacific Overseas Chinese Business Leader Award”. He was also listed “Man of the Year in China New Economy 2004”, and “CEO of Outstanding Enterprise Award”.

He was enlisted in the year of 1968, and has taught at People's Liberation Army Academy of Art and Peking University in art introduction and theories. 

 

Mr. Wang initiated the "20th Century Classical Chinese Music" activities and the annotation of "Twenty-Four Histories". He also organized "Chinese Culture Summit", "Chinese Culture Figures of the Year Award", "Cross-Strait Culture Dialogue" and a number of other major cultural projects. His major works include literary criticism, plays, screenplays, and TV series.

Jean-Guy CARRIER
Executive Chairman

Mr. Jean-Guy Carrier is former Secretary General of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) from 2011 to 2014. He is also President of the consulting firm Carrier Walker International. He served as an Acting Secretary General of ICC in 2010, and Director of Programs for ICCs Research Foundation from 2009 to 2014. His leadership oversaw the enhancement of ICC’s role as the voice of international business and its effective participation in the G20 governments’ policy process, including ICC contributions to policy proposals at all G20 Summits since 2010.

 

Mr. Carrier oversees an array of activities to represent the interests of world business to governments and intergovernmental organizations. In his wide-ranging international career, Mr. Carrier has led various research-based publishing and public information programs, notably the one for the World Trade Organization (WTO) from 1996 to 2008, where he was Publisher and Chief Editor. Mr. Carrier holds positions in China, one being the senior fellow of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Beijing's Renmin University. Mr. Carrier obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Science from University of Ottawa and authored six books ranging from literature to studies of public policies. He has edited several collections of works on international trade and contributed many articles for print and electronic media.

Mr. Jean-Guy Carrier is former Secretary General of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) from 2011 to 2014. He is also President of the consulting firm Carrier Walker International. He served as an Acting Secretary General of ICC in 2010, and Director of Programs for ICCs Research Foundation from 2009 to 2014. His leadership oversaw the enhancement of ICC’s role as the voice of international business and its effective participation in the G20 governments’ policy process, including ICC contributions to policy proposals at all G20 Summits since 2010.

 

Mr. Carrier oversees an array of activities to represent the interests of world business to governments and intergovernmental organizations. In his wide-ranging international career, Mr. Carrier has led various research-based publishing and public information programs, notably the one for the World Trade Organization (WTO) from 1996 to 2008, where he was Publisher and Chief Editor.
