Opening ceremony
On November 6, 2018, the 2018 Silk Road International Fashion Week was held at Tang West Market Museum in Xi' an. The fashion week, co-organized by Zhongguancun Global Fashion Creative Industry Union, Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC), Department of Culture, Radio, Film, TV, Press and Publication of Xi' an, and China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC), has attracted over 500 distinguished guests.
The 5 days' fashion week will release latest fashion works from 16 designers of 7 countries including China, Italy, Russia, Singapore, India, Thailand, and Vietnam. During the fashion week, Silk Road International Fashion Forum will also be held for designers to discuss and offer advice on the fashion industry's future development. The fashion show held at Xi' an Tang West Market Museum and Innovation Cafe Street (Xi' an High-Tech Zone) will fully demonstrate Xi' an profound cultural charm and its modern achievement.

At the opening ceremony, SRCIC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Li Zhonghang, together with CICCC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Wang Haotian, Vice President of World Trade Center Association Asia Wang Xun, and other guests launched the golden key. Li Zhonghang emphasized that the fashion week was a major event for cultural exchange on the 3rd anniversary of SRCIC. "Over the past 3 years, SRCIC held several cultural events including Silk Road International Cultural Week, Silk Road Melodies of Harmony Concert and more to strengthen ties among the Silk Road countries." He added.
As the only international fashion week named after the Silk Road, 2018 Silk Road International Fashion Week aims at promoting and developing art and fashion industry among the Silk Road countries. It highly praises craftsmanship and crossover cooperation.
The contestants of 2018 Asian Supermodel Contest
The final of 2018 AMA Asian International Super Model Contest will also be held during the fashion week, which aims at selecting and cultivating international supermodels. It is a global model competition attracting contestants from 20 countries in Asian region and whipping up a fashion storm to Xi' an.
Silk Road Melodies of Harmony Concert
SRCIC, founded in Hong Kong on December 10 2015, is the first transnational business confederation named after the Silk Road and mainly composed of national chambers of commerce of the Belt and Road countries. Currently SRCIC has 129 organizational members from 77 countries, including state-level and regional chambers of commerce and millions of affiliated enterprises.
