2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund Program: opening ceremony for NPU students

29 November 2018, the opening ceremony for students of Northwest Polytechnical University (NPU) from 2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund program was held in Northwest Polytechnical University. SRCIC Deputy Secretary General Ken Li, leaders of NPU, and 12 students from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan attended the ceremony.

 

Ken Li, on behalf of SRCIC, extended thanks to the support of NPU and welcomed the students. He said it was of significance for students to start their study at the starting point of Silk Road, and hoped the students would cherish this great opportunity and the friendship between two countries.

 

 

Younes Sara from Lebanon, as a student representative, expressed gratitude to SRCIC and NPU for providing their opportunities to study in Xi'an, China and promised that they would work hard to learn professional knowledge and enjoy the fulfilling time in Xi'an.

 

 

2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund Program subsidized 24 students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Lebanon, and Azerbaijan studying in Xi'an top universities including Northwest Polytechnical University (NPU) and Chang'an University.
