Alliance of pilot fee trade zones for new Asia-Europe land-sea intermodal transport channel established in E. China's Lianyungang

The inaugural meeting for alliance of pilot fee trade zones for new Asia-Europe land-sea intermodal transport channel and the first pilot free trade zone innovation and development summit was held in Lianyungang, east China's Jiangsu Province on October 18.

Photo shows Gu Xueming, president of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation and Yang Xinzhong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Lianyungang Municipal Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Lianyungang Municipal Government, jointly unveiled the secretariat of the alliance.

 

The alliance is initiated by nine free trade areas along the new Asia-Europe land-sea intermodal transport channel, including the Lianyungang Area of China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), the Zhengzhou Area of Henan FTZ, the Central Area of Shaanxi FTZ, and the Hefei Area of Anhui FTZ, together with two port cities of Alashankou and Horgos.

 

During the meeting, alliance members jointly released several institutional innovation cases such as Innovative Multimodal Transport Coordinated Supervision Service System, International Talent One-stop Service System and etc. to showcase their innovation results. Among them, the Innovative Multimodal Transport Coordinated Supervision Service System is formulated by Lianyungang Area of Jiangsu FTZ, taking Lianyungang's full advantage of its location, and building a three-dimensional integrated transportation network.

 

It is learned that this meeting is one of the series of activities of the 7th China (Lianyungang) Silk Road International Logistics Expo. The expo displays the achievements of Belt and Road construction and the construction of the international logistics supply chain system. According to preliminary statistics, 36 cooperative projects will be signed during the expo, with a total investment of 40.2 billion yuan.
