Georgian First Vice Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishivili visits the SRCIC Beijing Office

On April 12, the Georgian delegation led by the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishivili visited the SRCIC Beijing Office. H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili had a friendly conversation with SRCIC Chairman LuJianzhong.

 

H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili spoke highly of Chinese Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and said that Georgia would give its full support and positive respond to the Belt and Road Initiative. He also expressed the gratitudefor SRCIC’s contribution in promoting project collaboration betweenChina and Georgia.

 

H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili said, “The 2017 Tbilisi Belt and Road Forum was successfully held with the support from SRCIC and received positive feedbacks from the Belt and Road countries. Through SRCIC online trading platform www.esilkroad.com, the Georgian wineexported toChina increased by a large degree. SRCIC is a very important partner of the Georgian government.”

 

H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili also stressed that, “Georgia welcomes and appreciates President Xi’s great efforts in establishing a new international relationship and a global community of shared future. As President Xi said at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018, China would make room for more import allowance. The Georgian government is happy to work with the Chinese government to advance the social and economic developmenton the basis of mutual benefits. Also, we would strengthen the cooperation with SRCIC to make Tbilisi Belt and Road Forum more influential.”

 

Mr. Lu Jianzhong also emphasized the relation SRCIC has with the Georgian government, “The Georgian government is SRCIC’s most valuable partner.SRCIC held its first roadshow in Georgia and Georgia played the roleas the guest country at 2016 Silk Road Business Summit organized by SRCIC. His Excellency Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili sent congratulatory messages to both 2016 and 2017 Silk Road Business Summits, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met with the SRCIC delegations several times. And the two parties co-organized the 2017Tbilisi Belt and Road Forum.

 

SRCIC actively promoted the export of Georgian products to China.SRCIC will continue act as a bridge of project collaboration and cultural exchange among the Silk Road countries, with a special focus on Georgia.”

 

 

The meet between H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili and Chairman Lu Jianzhong further consolidated the cooperation between Georgian government and SRCIC. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Lu sent sincere invitation to H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili for the 2018 Silk Road Business Summit and received positive feedback with full support from H.E. Dimitry Kumsishivili.
