Member Updates: FBCCI emphasizes coordinated efforts to face challenges for Bangladesh to become a developing country

Leaders of Federation of the Bangladesh Chambers and Commerce of Industry (FBCCI) underscored the need for more private investment, export diversification, time-befitting industrial policies and corporate tax reduction. Moreover, they felt the need of involving the private sector in Government policy formulation.

 

The FBCCI leaders also mentioned transforming the challenges into opportunities so as to tap the potentials. The business leaders made these observations at a meeting “Bangladesh: Graduation from LDC to Developing Nation” organized by FBCCI at FBCCI Conference Centre on 15 March 2018.

 

Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Coordinator of SDG Affairs of Prime Minister Office attended the program as the VIP participant. Commerce Secretary Mr. Shubhashish Bose and other Government officials also attended the meeting. FBCCI President Mr. Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), Senior Vice President Sheikh Fazle Fahim, Directors and the Heads of Member bodies of the organization were present.
